What is a Medicine Horse
All horses are in touch with their feelings, emotions and energies. Medicine horses are those who are able to consistently bring themselves back into a peaceful energetic balance. They are constantly assessing as new energies come into their surroundings. Then they work hard, bringing their herd mates and human friends back into a balanced state while rebalancing and re-grounding themselves as the feelings and energies change. This can also be described as entrainment.
No matter who or what enters the energy field of these magnificent healers, no matter how ‘off balance’ the energy may be; the Medicine Horse will bring forward balance for all, by bringing himself or herself back into balance energetically.
A horse does not judge.
A horse works from a place of equality and flow. You cannot fool a horse by putting on a happy face. They are able to assist any number of people within their energy field through entrainment.
What can a Medicine Horse do for you?
Most of us live a fast paced life these days. We are experiencing change more rapidly than ever before as our living and technological worlds advance. We have daily exposure to geopathic and other types of stress which leaves many of us feeling out of balance.
We can feel out of control, anxious, stressed-out, depressed. We may be experiencing grief, or family dynamics that impact our ability to function as much as we want to. There may be challenges related to our place on the autism spectrum, post-traumatic stress and other anxiety-related issues. As a result, we may develop unhealthy lifestyle habits to combat the imbalance we feel.
Visiting with the medicine horses can allow an intimate healing experience. As we feel the horses work with us to bring back a balanced and grounded state, this work helps us to help ourselves.
It is difficult to explain the profound shifts that people have experienced when they visit with the Medicine Horses. The work has been described in many ways, including: ‘energy medicine’, shamanic- journeying’ and ‘meditation’. We can rely on the ‘vibrational entrainment’ produced by the Medicine Horse, and the facilitators, without the need for this work to look like anything in particular. This allows children and adults of all ages and all abilities to take part.
You can bring your problems, your curiosity and whatever else you want, to visit the horses and the equine labyrinth. Take some time, and allow yourself to consider being in balance when you leave.

Recent studies conducted by the Institute of HeartMath provide a clue to explain the bidirectional “healing” that happens when we are near horses. According to researchers, the heart has a larger electromagnetic field and higher level of intelligence than the brain: A magnetometer can measure the heart’s energy field radiating up to 8 to 10 feet around the human body.
While this is certainly significant it is perhaps more impressive that the electromagnetic field projected by the horse’s heart is five times larger than the human one (imagine a sphere shaped field that completely surrounds you). The horse’s electromagnetic field is also stronger than ours and can actually directly influence our own heart rhythm.
What is Entrainment?
Brainwave synchronization, also called brainwave entrainment, is concerned with
frequency following response, a naturally occurring phenomenon in which familiar frequencies tend to
synchronize with each other. Brainwave synchronization with binaural beats is said to help synchronize
the two hemispheres. A drum circle, chanting as well as staring at a fire were ways that our ancestors
took part in the phenomenon. Crowds at a rock concert, a deep conversation and being ‘on the same
page’ also serve to illustrate how brainwaves can ‘tune’ to certain frequencies.
